Female bust study, modeled in 3Ds max, uved in UV layout, rendered in mental ray and comped in Nuke. Hair was created with a mixture of 2D planes alpha mapped textures applied and 3D hair & fur which was rendered in scanline. Hair was lit with a dome light rig to create a self shadowing pass, no GI was used.

Diffuse texture painted at 6k down sampled to 4K, UV layout. Texture painted using zbrush projection, bodypaint and photoshop.

Bumpmap @ 100% painted using zbrush projection, bodypaint and extra detail added in photoshop.
